Freese Brothers Big Band Awards Scholarships

Amherst, Bedford, Bow, Concord, Hillsboro, Manchester, Strafford, Wolfeboro students honored

CONCORD _ Freese Brothers Big Band scholarships for 2026 will help 14 talented students to attend summer music programs.  An additional student received the Concord High School Freese Brothers Scholarship to help defray college costs.

Here are this year’s recipients:

Bedford High School
Zachary Lange — Summer Youth Music School at UNH.

Bow High School
Jack Puro — Summer Youth Music School at UNH.

Concord High School
* Audrey Clendenning, Charles Dustin and Beatrice Messenger — Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
* Sebastian Christie — Concord High School Freese Brothers Scholarship to defray expenses at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 

Hillsboro-Deering Middle School
Aurora Crocker, Aiden Jenkins, & Robert Lawrence — Junior Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
* Robert also will attend New England Music Camp, NEC Band Institute, and Osher Junior Band Camp.

Homeschool|
Lily and Rosalia Morris of Strafford — Summer Youth Music School at UNH and Center Point Chamber Camp.
* Lily also will attend the Walnut Hill School for the Arts Summer program.

Kingswood Regional High School
Logan Thurber — Summer Youth Music School at UNH.

Manchester Central High School
* Lucas Astorino — Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
* Colin Martineau — Berklee Summer Intensive.

Souhegan High School
Tyler Lupoli — Summer Youth Music School at UNH.

Jack, Bill, George and Courtland Freese founded the Freese Brothers Big Band in 1982. Band members volunteer their time and talent and direct performance fees to support the Freese Brothers Big Band Memorial Scholarship Fund, which has awarded nearly $115,000 to student musicians.
