Freese Brothers Big Band Awards Scholarships
Bedford, Concord, Hillsboro, Manchester, New London students honored
CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – The Freese Brothers Big Band scholarships for 2025 will enable ten talented students to attend acclaimed summer music programs. An additional student received the Concord High School Freese Brothers Scholarship to help defray college costs.
Here are this year’s recipients:
Bedford High School
Matthew Jobin: Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
Concord High School
Charles Dustin, Kennedy Locke and Beatrice Messenger will attend the Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
Carl Sirianna will apply his scholarship funds to defray expenses at St. Anselm College.
Hillsboro-Deering Middle School
Olivia Butler: Junior Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
Manchester Central High School
Lucas Astorino: Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
Jonah Therrien: Berklee College of Music Aspire Music Performance Intensive program.
Manchester Memorial High School
Marcel Boucher: Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
Manchester West High School
Ammar Sehic: Super Drum Major Academy at Westfield State University, Mass.
New London Homeschool
Kristen Garzia: Summer Youth Music School at UNH.
About the Freese Brothers Big Band
Jack, Bill, George and Courtland Freese founded the Freese Brothers Big Band in 1982. Band members volunteer their time and talent and direct performance fees to support the Freese Brothers Big Band Memorial Scholarship Fund, which has awarded nearly $110,000 in grants. The band welcomes tax deductible contributions through the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
